    AFTER READING EVERYTHING I FOUND SOMETHING: so see how we have "finish execute" node on each one of the enum code? well it turns out our AI was stuck the whole time because it wasnt actually finishing the finishing the executable after adding one more int. so all what you have to do is add an "finish execute" after adding one to the path index. then it should be working like gold!

    How can i add an delay to the bag after it spawned? Like when u drop something, it gets stored for like 5 minutes and than the bag is beeing destroyed (With the content in it) just like in ARK Survival Evolved. So Its not being abused as a storage chest if u leave at least one item in there. Changing the Bag inventory size to 1 doesnt work because u can swap the items u want to storage. If u swap, no item leaves the bag, therefore it doesnt get destroyed.

    I love this series but I wanted to ask: if we have the interaction event done through the server rather than the client, can that mess with multiplayer games? Like, if one person interacts with an item and collects it, will it put the item in everyone's inventory or just theirs? Thanks in advance!

    I noticed the bug that when u click on Dop 1, it does still drop items even if the item isnt in the inventory anymore. So you could easy duplicate items.. Easy fix for this that i use myself: In the Action_Menu Graph Click on the BTN_Drop1 Variable, click on the event "OnReleased" This adds a new Node to the Graph. Connect the Node to a "Remove from Parent" and as its Target drag the BOX_ActionMenu and connect it. This causes the Action Menu to Close after you pressed the Button, simple and easy. Do this for the Drop All Button too, because if the Menu is still open after u drop all items, then u can still use drop 1 to duplicate.

    For checking the max distance, you make a Map, key is float value is vector, on that for loop, use "Map Add", Key Float being the Time, Location being the Value Vector. after the loop is completed, use Max Float of array, use "Get Key" > connect to node Max Float of Array, then you use map "Get Values", > get array copy, on "Get Values" index output in input of the get array. you will be getting the vector corresponding to the higest max distance

    Fix for unlimited "use". go to inventory_system/Consume item and add a branch after the "sequence" with the condition being "Local quantity" connected to a equal set to 0

    The enemy is not chasing. I tried most of the work around from the commits and it seems as if the chase sequence under the behavior tree is simply not firing. I watched the videos about five times now and followed every step very closely and started the project twice. Is there a reason this could be happening?

    if just clamping between 0 and 1 i think you can use the Saturate node. its a computationally cheaper version of the same effect. obv for a tutorial clamp node is better for showing whats happening

    Amazing content! Joined the Patreon as well :) What about making it dynamic. like multiple ways to complete a quest/ stage/ objective? different stage / objective outcomes result in a different stage later. that would be really cool. Another suggestion that I would have loved to see on the channel Skill checks like Baulders Gate 3 or Disco Elysium

    Instead of using tick, you should just set the focal point of the character. then clear it in the on patroller exit function. Tick is yucky.

    Just wanted to say that this tutorial series is awesome and informative. Probably the best RTS series on YT. My only qualm is that I wish big series like this considered multi-player at least a little bit. Soon as I see a lot of systems rely on nodes let "get player controller index 0" i know a lot of refactoring is in order to rework it to be multiplayer compatible.

    I've tried it out with UE5.3 and UE5.4 and it doesn't work as described in this video. The order doesn't seem to make any difference. However the Jump IA didn't fire for the Ability1 IA, when I removed the 2 triggers on IA_Jump - and that still worked even when IA_Jump was at the top and IA_Ability1 at the bottom of the IMC or vice versa. @RyanLaley what UE version did you use?

    if your get item data component returns a Item id insted of a data table and row name then use a break datatablerowhandle to break it apart into the correct values

      nevermind! i'm using commonUI and the common widget switcher has a transition duration. I set it to 0 and it fixed itself :)

    I find when I'm not looking at an enemy as their detection meter fills, the meter doesn't continue to fill and they wont detect me. they only detect me when I'm looking in their direction.

    While following this tutorial, you may find the gems/collectible aren't destroyed quickly. They may seem stuck in your Lerp (Vector)'s "B" location for several seconds. This bug is caused by your timeline. To fix: - Double-click the "Attraction" timeline - To the right of the "f+" function key, check the value in the "Length" field. - Change the "Length" from 5 seconds to 0.5 Hope that helps!
